Jeffco is a vibrant, inclusive, and connected community where the essential needs of all individuals and families are easily met.

Our Mission

The Jeffco Advocacy Network champions innovative, practical, and impactful solutions to providing the community’s essential needs — including housing, childcare and education, employment, food and nutrition, and mental/physical health and wellbeing.

Through collaboration with residents, local nonprofits, the private sector, government officials, and other interested parties, we drive community and civic engagement, public education, and local advocacy to address current challenges and support sustainable solutions that benefit all residents.

Our Focus

Our current goal is to advocate for individuals and families with a variety of backgrounds, income levels, and life experiences who are in need of affordable and accessible housing. Our focus is to champion innovative, practical, and meaningful policies and projects that preserve and increase the housing supply (both rental and owner occupied). We’ll accomplish this through the following strategies:

  • Public education about housing challenges and possible solutions
  • Collaboration with elected officials and decision makers
  • Public outreach to civic and business organizations with a shared interest in housing solutions
  • Public promotion of, and support for, local housing policies and solutions/projects
  • Community engagement via presentations, events, and participation in meetings and public hearings

What We Support

  • Vote YES - Wheat Ridge Ballot Question 2C

    Wheat Ridge voters have an historic opportunity to impact how new housing and community amenities will be built on the former Lutheran hospital campus.

    By voting YES on 2C:

    • The maximum height for homes near existing neighborhoods will be lowered to 2.5 stories
    • The maximum height for buildings in the interior of the campus (near the existing 9-story building) will be limited to 5 stories
    • Community amenities, such as open public spaces and civic uses, will be possible

  • Vote YES - Jeffco Ballot Question 1A

    Without imposing a tax or mill levy rate increase, the County will be allowed to hold on to revenue it collects beyond existing TABOR limitations.

    By voting YES on 1A:

    • The County will have more funding for infrastructure, such as affordable housing
    • The County could apply for grants through the state's Affordable Housing Fund (but if 1A doesn't pass, these grants could push the County over its TABOR limits; it would have to cut in other areas or say no to this funding for afforable housing)
